About Us
Our Mission
To provide selected, specially trained Service/Assistance Dogs to qualified Veterans, Wounded Warriors, Law Enforcement Officers, Federal Workers from agencies supporting the military or national security, and First Responders; to solicit funds for the above purposes; and to help the Wounded Warriors, Veterans, Law Enforcement Officers, Federal Agents, and First Responders of the United States of America.
Our Story
The history of Mutts With A Mission starts with one woman and her dog. Today, our story is told through the freedom of our heroes. In 2008, Brooke Corson founded Mutts With A Mission along with her brother Keller Elliott and husband Joe. During her mobilization at Fort Benning, she was inspired by watching her pet dog Angus interact with the soldiers and witnessing the difference these interactions made.
Thanks to Angus and the difference he made in his small corner of Fort Benning, Mutts With A Mission was founded and trains world-class Service Dogs to assist disabled Veterans, First Responders, and Law Enforcement. Mutts With A Mission’s first Service Dog was placed in late 2009, and today we continue to help alleviate the burdens of service and line of duty connect disabilities in the men and women who serve our great nation.
In 2019, Mutts With A Mission achieved full accreditation from Assistance Dogs International - an incredible testament to the dedication Brooke and her team have to maintaining excellence.
Recently, in 2024, Mutts With A Mission underwent re-accreditation by Assistance Dogs International and once again received full accreditation.
